Drake Music Scotland is granted charity status
1997-2007
Growth

Musicians in 1997 using accessibly technology

We increase number of musicians from 15 to 250 in the first 15 months. We tour Scotland and reach over 900 special school pupils. We move, first from Tolcross to Edgar Hall, and then to SPACE some years later.

2008
Now We Are Ten

A performance at Now We Are Ten in 2007.

Our 10th Anniversary Concert involves 40 musicians and an audience of over 400.

2009-2013
Writing & Recording

We launch a pilot of revolutionary notation system Figurenotes, and create the software and community to match! Our new recording studio is officially opened by the Proclaimers. We commission Technophonia and composer Oliver Searle is nominated for British Composer Award and Royal Philharmonia Society Award. We cross the Same Rive Twice on the way to the Red Planet.Technophonia being performed at The Queen's Hall.

2016
Digital Orchestra

We launch Scotland’s first orchestra for talented young disabled musicians: the Digital Orchestra, which performs at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
